Problem with build gate.

Hello
I have a problem with build gate. Wiki said that i need two empty tiles with cornerpost on either side. Ido that and i have option for guild gate but it say "u cannot build that there".
Do you know why? Please help me

You need to pave the adjacent tiles.

Pave the tiles North of and South of the ones you paved.

It would have been fine if you left those forest, but for some reason it 'checks' for those, and walls can't be built on plowed land...
