Village Claim Bugged?

I have Made a village claim.
My friend is not a villager and can steal destroy and interact with stuff.
also im leaving scents on my own claim for destroying Hearthfires ? :/

how can i get the claim working?

Your friend either has permissions from you to do so or is in your party, which also gives him these permissions temporarily as long as he remains in the party with you. Newly joined kin also enjoy this privilege for a short while. As to why you're becoming a criminal for breaking hearthfires, only on personal claims are you able to destroy them without invoking criminal scents. A village claim will not protect you against things of that nature.
