How to make lumber faster?

I'm building a timber house, and i've realised that you need 200 blocks of wood and 100 boards. I've already gotten all of the boughs, but 200 blocks seems like an impossible number. It'd take hoursa, any advice on harvesting faster?

Given that you yield 12 blocks per log and get an average of 2 logs per tree, that means you'd need to cut down 8 trees and a stump to fill this quota. This is not a lot of time or effort, as a task like this won't even come close to taking an hour to complete. The boards will take longer as you only yield 4 per log, so this means 25 logs or 13ish trees for the boards. Once again though, not a colossal effort to make.

You'd need a metal saw to do this any faster but it's doubtful you can get access to one in less time than it would take to just build the house.

a cart might be helpful to bring logs to the build site faster.

Or set up your hearth fire next to the building site, chop your inventory full of blocks, lift a log and teleport/travel back.

Achlley i found my self gaining 116lp per tree I choped down (given you have a bed to sleep in over night to increase your lp gain) very fast

if you haven't already, push your peaceful slider. chop all the trees you're going to need, you should get enough.

sleeping in a bed does not effect lp gain. it reduces travel weariness.
