Health - the biggest issue for new players?

Postby Lyteo » Sat Aug 14, 2010 8:29 pm

Please...

How do we regain hp and keep it... I've read the word bandages on here, but I'm new.
I dont see sheep or wool anywhere. Am I supposed to travel a lot?

Any starter essential tips for all players?

A side note:
I'm having a BLAST playing this hahaha. A boar moved into our camp and me and my friends planning our revenge allready.

Go to a swamp. A swamp is one of those green-blueish things marked on your minimap. Make sure you have full health. Stay in there and walk around for a couple minutes and look in your equipment, you should have leeches attached to you. The leeches will slowly drain your HP but raise your max HP

Also, good luck on your boar hunt. I remember when I got my first revenge.

Also keep those leeches everytime they are full put them in a storage until there empty they increase in quality every fill and the higher the Q the more they heal.

In the future get up your Perseption (eat carrots) and Exploration until you can spot Clovers in Grass fields (Light Green) find a Ramand use the clover on it then get the wool and use it on a Loom to make a bandage (U need First Aid)

Drag the Bandage to you character and click it then select use ( your head slot has to be empty)

Over time they will yes.

Leeches take 1 SHP from you and have a chance to heal 1 HHP, don't stack too many at a time if you have low HHP already (as your SHP can't regen in time), gauze just heals HHP, about 6 HHP a tick I believe it was.

The meat was because someone along your FEP bar you ate Hurt items (raw meat, onions, rat on a stick, etc)

If you see villages with barter stands leave a message asking them to keep bandage stocked up for hermits and newplayers in the area that needs it. I usually keep them on my stand for 5 chants, something not too hard for a new player to gather and trade for a bandage =P

Either this
The meat was because someone along your FEP bar you ate Hurt items (raw meat, onions, rat on a stick, etc)

Or you ate constitution food and gained a level of health wich might make it look like you lost some hp but rather you gained more base hp.
Or you have walked in a swamp and are full of leches that you havent noticed and just happend to be they drained some of your HP wile you where eating.

ohh on a side note, when you use leaches to heal make sure you are wellfed before you start. It wont heal you if you are close to starving and the process of healing drains a lot from your foodbar aswell.

When I first started, Rat on a Stick was my main source of food until I discovered Chickens, Crops, etc. My Health never depleted from that.
