My small base is being attacked by boars.

Hi.

My tiny little village, consisting of some laid stone, wicker baskets and a log house, is being attacked by a large amount of boars. I can't leave the log house, I have Hunting but I don't even have a sling (Can't find enough taproot) and the only other person I know in this game is on vacation. Help is nice.

Do they go away on their own, or will I end up holed up in my house before I starve, as I don't have any food whatsoever in the entire "village". I suck at this game.

boars should dissapear after 20 or so minutes if that part of the map is not seen by anyone...

Build a small fence around your property to keep the boars out, a round-pole fence.

Do I need to be logged in for the boars to disappear? I logged off in a panic after another boar appeared.

Also, I peeked outside of the cabin and a boar mauled me. How do I heal? I heard something about leeches, and I'm less then a minute away from a swamp.

P. Claim as in Personal Claim; your guess at Yeomanry was correct. Getting the 4k LP for Yeomanry should be one of your highest priorities at the beginning of the game.

Quickly collect some branches, make a fence around your little house,then make fires, or baskets. Upgrade foraging. Get some Wild Windsown seeds. Make a drying frame (7 Branches) Make a stone plow (Branch, stone.) When the seeds dry, whatever they are. Plow an area inside your fence, plant the seeds. (Hopefully they are Hemp, or pumpkin. Carrots are good too.) After all that, you are on your way to a life of thriving. Also, remember to upgrade farming when you can for better crops.

I got Yeomanry day 1, i didn't have a sling and caught a lot of rabbits to start up my palisade wall by day 2 and finished it off by day 3. So yes, i except you to have Yeomanry before a sling.

His style is more of the fast hardcore style.

Mine is more easy and slow going
Also, if you are near a mudflat, try getting any Q clay and making urns, I did it some to get my MM up to kill foxes.

Not really. Unless they somehow obtain something of super value(unlikely unless they steal from another person or have a lot of people in their camp) or are near people that like being a-holes they should be fine without a claim for a while.

I personally would suggest making a basic fence around your camp and work on your farming/cooking/dex & making a seed-bag to hold every type of seed you have in case raiders come by & to hold that seed-bag with the seeds in your inventory. Also obtaining chickens and the materials to build a chicken coop should be a pretty high priority as well.
