Survival skill

Greetings,

I have a question about the survival skill. On the wiki it sais that pretty much everything comming from the ground (foraged items, butchered products, roasted meat) is softcapped by your survival skill.
What does this mean? Does it mean if i want ql 30 foraged items i need to have survival skill lvl 30? Or is there some other math involved?

The maximum QL of a foraged item depends on the QL of the soil that it was growing in.

So if you've got a herb growing in 30ql soil, the maximum QL that the herb will be when harvested is 30.
To actually harvest that herb at QL 30 however, you have to have a survival skill equal to, or greater than the maximum QL of the herb.

I'm quite sure that you only need 10 survival to pluck any quality foragables.

Well, you're not very likely to notice it if you have high survival. I had 10 for the longest time, so I noticed.

I mostly raise my survival to let me butcher my sheep. Got to raise it some more, though, lambs have hit q80.

Raising it now though, 100 Survival sounds tasty.
