I have a ancestral shine and i have what it needs and i forfeit but idk what it does. Can anyone help me?

That link is less useful than guesswork. I doesn't mention how to actually perform a sacrifice. If you know the game mechanics well, it's somewhat obvious, which is to say it cryptic just like everything else.

You pick up the item and hold it over your shrine, then right click. Forfeit allows you to get a different set of ancestral desires in case they are too difficult or undesirable, but it cuts your collected numen in half.
Come back two hours earlier.

It also has to be your own shrine. You cannot sacrifice stuff at the shrine of some other character. I learned this the hard way.
