Leeches not healing

I have equipped four skinny leeches, and they are not drawing any blood. Am i doing something wrong?

Worked fine for me, just today.
Leeches don't drain a lot of blood, though, so you might not notice the effect of 3 or 4 of them because the SHP damage is regenerated almost instantly and the chance of restoring HHP is maybe 10%.
