No, There are normally over 300 people online. If you want to look, click on the Home Link at the top. :S

It's a really big world, and considering how many few people play this, it is unlikely you will spawn near other people. If you travel far enough, you may find a unattended camp, or a offline hearth fire, or even a village. If you don't want to be a hermit i suggest you go check out the forum for village and group joining. I'd rather work alone until it's not fun anymore.
