Pachos client setup?

Postby Zion » Sat Sep 04, 2010 2:07 am

Ok, I need step by step instruction on how to set up Pacho's client. I had it working properly as an icon on my desktop about a month ago, then it just stopped working when I did a small system restore. Help me!

PS. All I get is an error when I click on it :/

Don't bother to tell us the error description, we'll figure that out by ourselves.

I have reinstalled Java 4 times, downloaded the 64 bit downloader and the update thingy (I have a 64 bit system).

I just need instructions on where to put the files I get from Pachos' page.

  • Running the downloadable or JNLP?
  • If Java was reinstalled, did you change the path when installing or left it at the regular one?
  • Did you have to set your Environment Variables the first time you installed Java?
  • If using the downloadable version does the command prompt (black window) just open and close really fast? (If so open the run.bat file by right clicking and choosing Edit, then add a new line with just the word 'pause' [no quotes] to it, then run again)
  • If no error message is displayed, please describe the problem you are having as you see it.

When I run the downloadable, it doesn't even do anything, when I run the JNLP it comes up saying it's haven and hearth, pacho's client and the source, afterwards it just gives an error. If I hit the run.exe it brings up the command prompt, then after a little while it says press any key and it opens up the client, that's fine and all, but I want it to be a single clickable icon on my desktop, if I take it out of the file it doesn't do anything at all after I press any key.
