Grassland

Quick questions.

What's the criteria for forest terrain turning to grassland? How many tiles from a tree? How long does it take? Is the further from trees, the faster it is? Is it affected by stumps?

I ask because I hear plowed fields decay slower on grassland, true? Is it worth plowing, then seeding with grass, then plowing again?

Damn 25 views no reply? :P

One other question, do the big logs you get from chopping a tree decay?

There is a very clear visible range that grass grows into around deforested areas -- that said I have yet to bother counting the number of tiles yet. I'll get back to you with that asap.

The rate at which grass spawns over (or forest decays in to?) is random and can occur at any point in time after the tree has been chopped down. The stump does not effect anything.

Large logs do not decay. Plows decay slightly slower on grass but you really want them to be on paved tile.

Thanks :)

One last thing, I said plowed fields, not plows :P so do plowed fields decay slower on grass? Any other way to get them to decay slower, like using a higher QL plow?

No and no, plowed tiles all decay at the same rate regardless of terrain type as far as I have seen, someone may correct me if I'm wrong. You will have to plow lots to farm.
