Tree Farming

Alright Trees...:

I have several trees types growing and I'm on 4th or 5th generation but some tree types never seem to regen anything, specificly Mulberry trees.
I waited for almost a month and not one of my 12 mulberry trees ever regained seeds.

I've searched the Wiki and forums several times for hours.
My question is this: Are there some tree types that NEVER regen or am I just really damn unlucky?

I know apple trees will eventually get more apples. but what else?

Trees regenerate when they get hit by a decay hit. Since decay is random, your mulberry may never regenerate if you're super unlucky. But in my experience it takes about a week on average for a tree to get hit by decay.
