Making Steel

Do i have to keep the temp at 100% consistently, or is it the last tick of the fuel that matters when trying to make quality steel? I really don't feel like playing for 2 days straight to get some good quality steel.

It will make a difference but I don't think everyone keeps it at 100%, keeping it within the 88% ranges is hard enough.

You don't need to keep it 100% for whole two days. You just need to kepp it as closer to 100% as you can at last tick (last tick of second day).

This is where I'm confused, some people say it doesn't matter, some people say it does. Is it possible to get some clarification from the devs?

I'm not doubting what you are saying, but i have talked to a lot of people in game, and they all have conflicting answers. So I'm just asking for clarification.

EVERY tick matters. People who can't keep it up tend to last tick only. I'm not sure if last tick counts for more but if you do it every tick versus doing it only last tick, you WILL notice a difference.
