Unsure How Barter Stands Work

Hi, I got a tad confused by the wiki.

Basically I live in a village, my individual section of the village is palisaded, and I have a stake claim elsewhere for the time being (to protect the site for the village). Nobody has access to my individual section. I want to make a barter stand to sell some surplus stuff I'm making, so will it be ok if I make it outside my section, but within the village claim?

barter stands have their own "claim" to them, so yeah they should be safe in your village
