Armor piercing of ranged weapons.

Postby Reimad » Sun Sep 26, 2010 12:42 pm

So lately I've been fooling around with armors 'n stuff for a bit and I found out that somewhere around 240/240 is more than enough to stop slings of up to q 280 and bows up till q120.

But I have no experience with rangers bows, how do you determine what armor values you need to stop those?

peace or martial * [ 300*sqrt(quality/10)+20*sqrt(quality arrrow/10) ] < deflect+ soak

edit: a good rule of thumb is that a q40 leather set (chest/pants/boots) will protect you from anything but the very best slings and a full steel outfit will protect you from most RB's.

Alright. So 420/420 for a q70 bow with q100 arrows then

Ehh, while we're on the subject of armors anyway, what's the base value of steel plate/helm and the base of bronze plate/helmet?

And the formula for determining the armor gain per Q :3

the bonus gained by any item by q is the basevalue*sqrt(q/10) you can use that formula to find the base stats of armor, which i think are also on the wiki.
I think it's made of bubbles and hate.
