Milk quality

Hi everyone ^^ I have a question about milk quality

I'm considering these 2 cows, Bessie and Milky (giving name for reference)

Bessie has these stats:
Milk Quality 39
Milk Quantity 13
Food eaten quality: 24

The brown bar is full only for ~1/6 (dunno why, as they have 4 or 5 Food Troughs nearly always full covering the whole pen. Everything is grassed and there are only 2 spots eaten that have been like that for a month at least)

Milky has these stats:
Milk Quality 29
Milk Quantity 11
Food eaten quality: 23
Brown bar full (and she's been around for much longer than Bessie)


The problem is: Bessie gives quality 8 milk, while Milky gives quality 26 milk. What am I missing here? :S Did I do something wrong? I searched forum and wiki and really couldn't find an answer :S (and sorry if there are any mistakes, english isn't my native language)

Bessie was starving in the past. Damage done by starving is permanent. You're best off using her for breeding and killing her when you get a replacement cow.

EDIT: nvm ^^ I found out that Bessie was a dying cow rescued from a friends house sorry for the stupid question and thanks for the kind answer ^^
