Enemy difficulty

Postby Masa » Fri Oct 01, 2010 2:58 pm

Well, this is what I know about enemy difficulty, assuming that all enemies with levels are X level:
(From easiest to hardest)
Ant->Fox->Boar->Deer->Bear

What I'd like to know is related to new animals such Aurochs and Mouflon. How hard are they if you fight them 1 on 1?

Arouchs and mouflons doesn't have levels, so there hp doesn't depend on that or something. Trying searching for arouch and mouflon on the wiki.

Didn't answer my question. I didn't ask about HP either.

I'm already aware of the fact that they don't have levels, but I don't know how difficult they are compared to the enemies I wrote about (assuming that all of them with level have X level).

Wiki says nothing about their relative difficulty.

well it depends on your tactics, they are really easy to kill with a sling because they don't run away, and in fact the whole herd aggroes and runs toward you, so it's very difficult to solo a herd with melee. i'd say the herd is harder than a single bear.

What about in terms of melee combat? And if I successfully manage to fight them 1 by 1, how hard are they compared to the other enemies.

They are pretty strong, still if you fight them 1 by 1. Mouflons are weaker at a 1 by 1 fight. It will not be as hard as a single herd, but one arouchs is let's say... Around the as strong as a boar.

Are you sure about that? I can solo level X boars without any cheap tactics (such as call down the thunder from safe place spam), but auroch takes my full defense bar + damages me.

EDIT: Actually I might have been running a bit, so I failed because of that.

I find that 200 melee and a good sword can 1 sting kill an auroch.

Problem is they swarm you so much. And it really sucks if you get stuck inside a herd and a friend has to help you out :lol:

I haven't really gauged the combat for both yet but what I do know is that Aurochsen have less than 94 combat stats so my best guess is that they either have 80 or 90. I would guesstimate that mouflons are equivalent of lvl X foxes and Aurochsen are equivalent of Lvl X boars. I'll need to reverse calculate damage first.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
