Quick answer: Playing the game
Longer answer: You get more lp the higher quality materials you're working with/killing. Hunting is very good lp early on, as is working with high quality natural resources. That said, q300+ crops easily net better lp than hunting for an equal amount of time. The lowest lp you can get is from activities that are not actively engaging and that are easy to macro. The less attention it requires from you, the less lp it will be worth.
