Animals have no SHP and they don't recover any HP over time. The except is a deer can heal any animal at a large distant.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Animals all have SHP.
Deer heal SHP (over long distances).
Animals don't appear to heal naturally over time.

The distinction between SHP and HHP does not apply to animals. Animals have HP, quite simply, and they do not regenerate it over time. They can however be healed by deers.

In fact you can also use deers, at least if you can trust this dictionary.
