Mine limit

I was wondering if there is a limit on how much you can mine from a single mine. Just wanted to know if I shouldn't mine so much.

It will take so long to reach the nearest ores that you'll just dump the mine and leave before you reach the edges.

has anyone ever actually depleted a mine? i've seen mines where people have dug a tunnel in one direction to the end, but never mined out the entire thing.

Wanyeville's was pretty huge; took me a few minutes to walk to any edge.

I imagine Sodom's or any other major city that sits on a mine are pretty huge also.
But, I doubt anyone has completely depleted a mine.

Bottleneck depleted their mine in the first world. They may have gotten bigger since then.

Don't know anything about mines other than that they (seem) to exist. ;)
Just wondering. Do, or can, mines overlap. If so, do those share the same(underground) space ?

The first one seems knowable/testable, the second one probably not yet.
