My Palisade won't finish

So I recently moved. Pictures say more than words.



So anyway, that spot lets me build straw baskets on it but not finish my palisade. It won't let me build a cornerpost there either. It doesn't say anything when I try, it just acts as if something was there in the space blocking the palisade. Any help would be appreciated.

You made the mistake of thinking that the ridges align with the grid. Classic newb mistake.

Thx. In the mean time, could you use your god powers and put a magical cornerpost there?

That or I could just put an ore smelter there.... Yeah I think I'll do that.

Hold shift and place a palisade cornerpost behind the hole. Make sure it's fully plugged before you hit the build button.

Huh? If it comes down to having to start a new initial cornerpost, I'd much rather just build a kiln to block off that area.

Kiln is much easier to break than palisade.

I don't have steel, only Iron

Is there any brick buildings I could build as a semi-substitute to a palisade? I don't think a battering ram can fit through that space anyway.
