Certain items uncraftable?

Postby Thursday » Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:12 am

A search of the forums didn't reveal the answer to my problem.

Though I possess the requisite skills and materials, certain items do not show as available crafts for me.

Mainly, tanning tubs and backpacks.

Additionally, the clothes I can make with tailoring seem rather lacking. I see no options for capes or hats besides the Cylinder Hat.

Also, semi-related, if anyone can tell me how to make the Wizard Hat I see some people walking around with, I'd really appreciate it.

Peeking at your character data, it seems you don't have the Leatherworking skill, which is required for the tanning tub and backpack, among many other things.

Really?

I have a leatherworking section under crafts (currently able to make the bear cape and hide cloak).

I also don't have leatherworking as a skill I can learn, or in my learned skills list.

It should be between glassmaking and masonry right?

While I was lucky enough to join a group that gave me some leather armor, I'd still like to be able to become self-sufficient.

The hunting skill gave you the ability to craft the bear cape and hide cloak, but you also need the animal husbandry skill to unlock the leather working skill. If you already have animal husbandry, or you don't see it in the "skills to learn" list, then you may have a technical problem.

Okay, thanks.

Didn't realize I needed animal husbandry to get leatherworking. I just picked that up, and am building the LPs needed for leatherworking.

Thanks again for all the help everyone.

You'll probably find this skill chart useful.

I'd already seen the skill chart, somehow I kept skipping over leatherworking coming from animal husbandry.

I also found out that the "Wizard Hat" I was referring to was in fact only creatable and wearable by the chief of a village.

Though a new, but much more minor problem, has arisen.

I learned new combat abilities recently, and assigned a few to my numeric hotkeys.

In the process, I replaced Bloodlust with No Pain, No Gain.

Now I can't seem to find it under combat skills.

I didn't use it much anyway, but I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered this problem?

Bloodlust is a combat maneuver not an attack.
The wizard's hat is a dev-made item that gives no bonuses, as opposed to the lawspeaker's hat which boosts statistics and is rank restricted.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Regardless, I didn't have it.

Luckily, the server going down reverted me to when I did.

I'll be more careful this time.
