Picture Question

Postby xweetok599 » Wed Nov 10, 2010 4:32 pm

I see some people who posted pictures of their village (zoomed out) from above, like this one: http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/8848/t ... maller.jpg. Is there maybe a way or a program or something to do this?

P.S: No, i'm not trolling or spamming.

The best way to do it is to have a client that lets you turn off the lighting filters (nightvision) and then take a screen shot every so often as you go round you village and put each shot together like a jigsaw in a pain program. MS Paint might be able to deal with the large pictures but you would be better off with a more advanced art program like Gimp(free download) or Photoshop (I use photostudio) that can deal with lots of large images (and layers so that you can move things round or easily update the map.

Just two (free) tools that might be useful at some point.

For easy capturing. Or window to image-file.

Higher than normal quality resizing/shrinking of images. (provided you don't JPEG-compress the image to dead.)

O yea. And for auto clipping/deleting those part, of the Windows/HnH-Gui images, you don't need. (some coding skills required.)

(but thats only if you plan to do it on a regular base. otherwise a separate prepared mask layer will do just as fine.)
