What stats would you recommend for taming a mouflon/arouch?

Animal Husbandry + Unarmed Combat -> Brawling + Militia Training -> Soldier Training -> Leadership

Done, as far as I'm concerned if you have those skills you're a taming machine. As far as stats you may want to wait until you have minimum 20 STR, AGI, CON and DEX. Some people may do it with less, I'm just letting you know what's less likely to have you killed in the process.

Try using search.

With the recent change, it is not advisable to charge a herd at all. Against an individual one it's 40/80 optimal.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

If you have 400 deflect it should be good for the most part.

I've tamed auroch, i've tamed mouflon, even boars, all you need is about 20 unarmed or so and some decent armor. I use bronze plate and you could, using various patterns in signposts, tame an animal without getting scratched.

Technically you can tame with no armor or combat stats.

All you need is a fence with a gate and close the gate on the animal you wish to tame. You might get hit in the process so you'll need a bit of armor.
