It's a very expensive way to break into someone's house. You can put a crossroads on your village claim to the other side of someone's wall. A lot of rich people have massive walls that their claims don't cover, so someone can quickly put up a village claim that borders a wall and make an xroads to the other side before packing up with whatever they got and leaving, usually to the safety of a large city since people that are rich enough (or appear to be) to the point that someone thinks it's worth wall jumping on them can probably track you down or hire someone to do it. I assure you, though, nobody would feel the urge to wall jump you.
