How do I check quality of built things?

Postby snelg » Sat Nov 13, 2010 10:24 pm

Hello, new player here. I ran into a little problem recently as I have no clue what quality my tanning tubs are. Then I realized I've no idea what quality anything I can't put in the inventory is. So here goes a couple of questions.
Do they have quality?
Does it matter?
Any way to check for it if they do?

Thanks!

Yes.
Yes.
Reverse engineer it by putting in all Q10 materials and then working your way backwards from the resulting leather quality with the formula from the wiki.

Okay, I got around to testing the tanning tubs, seems like putting in q10 stuff gave me q9 leather so I take it I could improve it to q10 by making new tanning tubs with slightly better wood.
This goes for all things like tanning tubs? I guess I'd better start writing down everything I build. . .

Wow, this isn't user friendly at all. It would be nice If the game took care of things like that.

Anyway, thanks for the really quick answer there hfacktor!

Yeah, it's been suggested many times before and really seems like a no brainer, especially with how important quality of built items is to the resulting product.

Seems pretty easy to do, they've just got to get around to updating it.

It would be very nice. What I do is keep everything in excel that I make, and I also have formulas to verify if I lose the quality.
