Can Silkmoth eggs die?

Or are the eggs themselves immortal unlike the moth, worm, and cocoon?

From my understanding, they have no decay.

eggs are the only stage where silkmoths are 'stable' , meaning nothing will happen to eggs until they go on a herb table.

its thbe opposite, cocoon turns into moth after a while which dies alone, worms die without food
