Try turning criminal acts on (Adventure->Criminal Acts). You also need the skills theft and/or vandalism.

I wouldn't advise stealing though, you'll leave scents and other people can use them to summon and kill your character.

another question about stealing: it says that the scent will be there for 2 real life days, does it mean that the scent disappears if picked up aka i can finally sleep again? or can i still be summoned long time after the crime has been commited/scent been picked up

The scent vanishes from the ground and all the picked up scents vanish as well.
