Strings!

Postby Alazavrus » Fri Nov 19, 2010 5:00 pm

Question from the very newbie. How and where can I find strings (Any String)? I need some to craft first ranged weapon.
Also, how can I accqire bones apart from dead animals? Are there any way of doing this?

You can't remove bones from living animals at this time. They will have to be dead first.

The easiest string to find for newbies is spindly taproot and nettles. You can start finding spindly taproot when you have 10 per*exp, and nettles at 30 per*exp. Don't expect to make a very good sling with these though.

Hey well strings can be found as stick looking figures on forest terrain or as stinging nettle well they look... Stingily. For bones you could try to get the hunting skill catch some rabbits or chickens when butchered they give bones

if you have hunting and leather working, once you have caught that rabbit and butchered it for it's bone, throw the pelt on a drying rack. once the pelt has dried, you can use leather-working to make leather straps. these count as sting also.

"Normal" is only a difficulty level in video games - Aso11
Jackard: Koya only raises the lynx so he can molest it later
Koya: What means "molest" ? Translator cannot translate it or do it with no logics...
"And no im not native to english, I was born in the usa." - A very bad troll.
