Optimal personal beliefs?

Postby Killamoocow » Thu Nov 25, 2010 4:14 am

After sliding over to both peaceful and change for max learning ability, what would you recommend for a beginner to start sliding over to? I was thinking putting Barbarianism and then Death so I can somewhat equal out the damage reduction from Peaceful while also equalling out the health reduction from Death with the use of Barbarianism. I'm also wondering if I should bother with night/day and also going over to Nature over Industry since it's probably going to be a while before I reach the use of metals. Just wanted to hear your opinions.

death sucks, animals don't have hhp and once you get to pvp worthy levels you'll be doing enough damage anyway. full life is nice for the health bonus. barbarism is great as well, unless you're struggling to gain auth for your village. going full night or full day allows you to heal more over a given cycle of night and day but you usually end up wanting to heal when you're on the 1/3 heal rate so it kind of sucks imo, i keep that one neutral. going full nature is the way to go if you plan to farm or grow trees. it's easy to make a mining alt anyway if you should need one, since all they need is 400 lp and full industry to get started.

Ahhh that makes sense. I'm also in an area working with 2 of my mates, so I'm guessing I can get one or both of them to work on industry if need be, since I've been working on the farms mostly myself. Never thought about making an alt though, I'd have to keep that in mind since I'm pretty much the one who plays the most in the group...

It might be necessary to add that not everybody wants to be full peaceful these days. Archers who expect alot of PvP (also useful for sling hunting though) are usually full martial now.

Tradition is only necessary when you plan on getting yourself killed either because you are a raider or your reincarnation serves some purpose.
