I think you've made a mistake, 2 roasted fox meat gives only 2 Intelligence FEP (1 Each) and Fox Wursts give 2 Intelligence and 1 perception FEP.
It's simply a matter of trading 40% fullness with 1 FEP, if you've got food to spare, then you'd probably shoot for sausages. Since it gives more FEP and takes less time to make.

Unless of course what you meant was how is charisma useful to you as a player, and the answer right now is pretty much no use at all.

Charisma should eventually have impact on leadership powers, both village and party related
