I have gotten knocked out by boars many times now, and I'm nearly out of health. How do I heal?

Go walk around a swamp until a bunch of leeches attach to your equipment slots. Watch them as they suck your blood. Repeat as necessary.

get your exp * per up to 500 and find four leaf clovers. Pickup the clover and right click on a wild sheep and it auto tames it. Then get your axe out and right click the sheep to shear. Thats the 2cnd way.

To add on to what he said, you need a loom to make the wool into a piece of gauze. Then pick up the gauze in your inventory, right click yourself, and use it. It takes up your head equipment slot, so remove your linen/newsboys hat first. It will slowly heal you up to a certain amount and then be useless. If you remove it at any time it becomes a bloody rag worthless for anything but ancestral rites, so make sure you've used it up first.
