Those items are tied to the soil quality in the area. So if you know a spot with higher quality soil try foraging there. Alternatively, if you find high quality foragables you know you're near a high quality soil spot.
Oh, I should add not everything foraged is tied to soil quality, but the ones you mentioned are.
Oh ok, and I guess to find out the quality of Soil, is to Dig in that specific area? if I dig in one bit of the island, does that count as the whole island? or just that specific location in a perimeter
Yep, just dig and you'll see if you get any soil higher than q10. I think each spot you dig gives you a good idea of the quality you see in maybe one minimap worth of area. Maybe half a minimap? I'm sure some better resource hunters than I would know the answer for sure.
Depends greatly on the peak ql of the node, higher peak ql bigger area, sometimes they can be a minimap, sometimes less, sometimes more. Just pray your first hit isn't 11 ql soil cause you'll be searching for a while to find the peak.
Keep in mind that what you forage is softcapped by your survival skill. If the item you forage is greater than your survival skill, then the quality of the foraged item becomes the average of survival skill and item quality.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.
Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
