plant trees with cone from a fir

it say i only(?) can replant trees ?
so if i plant a tree with a cone from a fir he wont grow up ?
i realy plant maaaany trees in small area. some time later i plant a apple tree. he grows mutch faster.
the others trees still look like beginning. they wont grow up or it just take ages ?

Firs grow faster on forest terrain, while apple and mulberry trees grow faster on grasslands.

trees take about 3x3 tiles of space. If they are blocked when they want to grow a stage then they stop growing (bonzai trees, cute but useless as a lumber resource) even if the blockage is removed
