Disappearing Fields

When I plow fields they often disappear a few hours later. I made a field on my claim to monitor the effects of this and almost the entire field has disappeared in three days. Is this supposed to happen or is this a glitch? How can I make sure this doesn't happen?

I think it is normal that grass is replanting itself after some time after you plow it O_o

Plowed fields decay like everything else. It's just another thing you have to keep up with as you play. I plow fields every day because I'm a farmer.

Well, IRL, doesn't grass grow back if you dont plow the earth?

Days move very quickly in-game (but yes, not that fast).

Think of it as giving you something to do.
