destroying semi built structures

how do you get rid of those sign posts that contain materials already built but not enough to build the whole structure

I would be happy if it would work,but it does not.
I'd like to point out that they are semi built as in 4 branches for a fire and click build you end up with an indestructible signpost

Shift click on the picture of the material and it'll transport into your inventory, once there are no more materials the signpost will disappear. Voila.

Does not work.
The materials are already used..i clicked build on it but i didnt have enough materials to build the whole thing.I also got XP from the materials i used.
Now i have a nice signpost.
Anyone else?
