Completely cleaned out...Hacked or something?

So i opened the client and visited my village today to find the whole place has been cleaned out. Every item we had is gone, all of our livestock dead or missing, all of our gates open.

Only myself and a temporarily inactive friend have keys to the village, or are members of the village.

There are no scents on tracking at all.

Has my account been hacked or something? I can't think of any other way this could have happened. Sucks man. Months of work just gone like that. Pretty sure I might quit.

Anyways, does anyone have any theories?

Whats your Perception and exploration? Theres some guys that have really really high stealth and int so you might not be able to see the scents, but that wouldn't explain the gates.

Maybe the inactive friend isn't inactive anymore?

i've been talking to my friend who is inactive on H+h online as he moves house, so i know he hasn't been on H+H but is still online. It makes no sense for him to have stolen everything, as this was originally his village, and most of the stuff his.

They seemed to have been able to move 40+ cupboards worth of stuff.

I was offline for around 40-48 hours.

Cupboards are easily destroyed.

But moving 40+ cupboards of inventory? Must have been a couple of them.

If the cupboards were smashed then the items from them would have disappeared quite fast without anybody being around.

The same thing happened to me, but it's even stranger and that's a proof that it wasn't simple vandalism, but legit hacking.

I logged off on the night of december 12 with my traveler's sack and a stone axe equipped, I had just finished building the crossroads of our newly formed village and I logged off right after. When I logged back on, my traveller's sack wasn't equipped anymore as well as my stone axe. I thought it was weird, I didn't recall doing such a thing, as I didn't even go at my house to put them away.

When I arrived at my house, 2 dryings racks were gone as well as my most important chest (tool chest). I thought someone might've just come and wrecked the place appart, but the gates were close and no scents were left on the village claim or my personnal claim.

The cupboards were not smashed, just empty. 40 emptied - thats a lot of inventory space.

Sounds very very similar to my situation. We have literally just finished building this village, got a start up pack from a friends village (metals, tools, valuables) and setup the gates and everything. Logged on to find everything gone, all our animals slaughtered, our wagons gone, no scents, our gates open. Yeah. WTF.
