Cannot build (gate) there

I have a roundpole fence two corners posts two spots away from each other. I can even build fences there, but when I try to build a gate it says I cannot build there. Anyone know why?

you need to pave the ground, and the ground in front of it and behind it

Maybe you dont have the skills needed. I think you need locks and bolts.

i was building gates and only some didn't work without pavement, so I never would have thought of this. And for those this works thanks a ton sabinati!
