Why on earth would you want to fill a house with wardrobes?

It's just a guess but I think he means cupboards and wants to find the most efficient way to place them in the house aka fit as many as possible in there while still being able to access every single one.

Yeah, I guess you are right. I personally prefer to have some space to move around instead of havin to click my way through a 1 tile wide labyrinth. Just build a second mansion (timber houses suck btw) when you are running out of space.

Hm, yeah I meant cupboards :X

Does anyone know how I can get a small wicker basket out from behind my timber house? I have Gilbertus' client and can see it when I CNTL + X but I can't interact with it.

No real specific content on the efficient part in title.

Making sure all bases are covered.
Lift them, and start dropping them, while pressing shift, at the opposite wall of the door. Continue until there is one space left.
(ok, that one is out of the way. ;) )

For wardrobes?, if thats the target. Don't use shift while dropping one. Drop on as near to a corner as you can. Might take a fair amount of tries to get it right.
Now start adding other ones by dropping them by directly ... hold on, that trick don't work for wardrobes I think. (NTS: re-test to force a memory refresh.)

Space related: (while still having them accessibly to some degree.)
Timber house can contain 22 cupboards. (6 west, 6 east, 5x2 rows in center) ... Additional you can add two boats to it to If you like. (not tied 3 boats yet.)
(Block hut: 9 cupboards. (don't -> Timber house))

My meathouse. The cellar is similarly crammed. And I still managed to run out of room for sausage so I had to give away 8 cupboards the other day (can't be arsed to set up a worthwhile trade).
