Alt-vaulting "perishables"

Postby Pyre » Sat Dec 18, 2010 8:19 am

Just a few quick questions, someone with more experience can probably answer easily for me.

Inevitably in this game the stuff will hit the fan, it's just the nature of things, so you alt vault some seeds and such to be able to start over again.

I was wondering if this was possible to do with fertile chicken eggs and silkworm eggs, I know there's no way of knowing the sex prior to hatching, but if they stay on an alt-vault will they still be hatchable in the future?

just build somewhere in the wild two coops(for male and female) and fill them up with seeds. They will survive for a long time.

How does it matter when you die? Today? In hundred years? What will be left of you after millenia?
