How do I plant seeds? I have the farming skill, so how?

Pick up the seeds from inventory, then right-click on plowed ground with the seeds still attached to the cursor.

This is mentioned in the wiki, somewhere.

If I recall correctly, you only need Lumberjacking. You may need Plant Lore to construct the Herbalist's Table, though.

Thanks, to make the herbalist table I think I'll also need farming for the flax plant fibers- and I think I'd be best to get metalworking or whatever that one is that creates a metal saw rather than a bone saw(just to get more boards out of a log.

Edit: And yes, you should get a metal saw. I'm sure most people would let you borrow theirs. Not only does it help you personally, it also decreases deforestation.
