i have bee hives and not only does they NOT give me wax (i get honey tho) but they don't make my crops grow faster eather >.>

can anyone tell me how to make them work T.T ive had them for like 3 days now

Plant more crops around the beehive, multiple beehives in the same area will have a reduced effectivity when talking about honey/wax.

I definately have the experience that a hive speeds things up. I had one wheat field without and one with, and there was a big difference

No. Hives will work only when crops will bloom.
Some crops gives lot of flowers and honey, some not.

Some chance for a wax or honey is given when a seed is planted or when plant grows to next stage. There is no difference if plant have flowers (poppy) or not (wheat).
