beer or wine?

beer takes longer to make but is it better than wine?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

They are two sides of the same coin except for a few things.
Beer = a little more food points, so if you ate but are dropping travel weariness, better to use wine - if you are hungry, go for beer
Beer is harder to section out. Wine can be stored in a wine bottle and so can beer but wine glasses hold about .2 where a beer tankard holds about .4 -- that wine bottle holds around .6 so its even sippings with glasses not tankards.
Beer is easier to store in a barrel because it doesn't turn into vinegar like wine will.
Wine tho can be stored in a bucket if you want and beer can't be, only the wort in a bucket which isn't beer yet.
Basically IMO wine is easier to section out but beer is easier to store. I make and use both for when they seem fitting according to my food.

my point is that for the beginning it may be impossible to drink beer. For weissbier you need a metal tankard, for wine you need clay and glass (clay for the kiln, glass for, well, the glasses, and if i remember you can fill a glass from a bucket. Yes you can take 4 bottles, but i'd prefer to take 1 bucket, since it has a much bigger capacity

I prefer beer cause it lets me get a drink without opening cupboards, but yeah, wine is generally better.
