Breeding quality

When breeding two cows for higher milk quality, do each of the cows milk quality matter or does only breeding quality (and food eaten) count in producing a higher quality calf?

All of it matters.

Here's the way something works, let's say you want to breed for Milk Quality

Calf's Milk Quality is the Average of the parents Milk Quality softcapped by Breeding Quality of the Bull and then modified by a random number -5/+20

if Bull_BreedingQ > (Cow_MilkQ+Bull_MilkQ)/2 : calf's_Milk = X -5~+20; X = ((Cow_Milk_Quality + Bull_Milk_Quality)/2)
if Bull_BreedingQ < (Cow_MilkQ+Bull_MilkQ)/2 : calf's_Milk = X -5~+20; X = ( ((Cow_Milk_Quality + Bull_Milk_Quality)/2)+Bull_BreedingQ)/2
