Hive question

Postby overtyped » Mon Dec 27, 2010 3:58 am

Do hives need to be in line of sight of the plant to give it growth or can i put the hive outside of a wall with the plants on the inside?

Also if i put 3 hives in the same spot and they still cover all of the same area would the hives be more efficient when spread out even though with them together i still cover everything. If im making any sense at all please reply
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I'm fairly sure it doesn't matter if there's a wall between the hive and the crop. Doesn't for feeding troughs iirc, so it shouldn't.

Space your hives out, if they cover the same area the growth rate remains the same, but only one hive gets the honey/wax.
