How do you find the ideal spot for a mine? Is there land ideal (I know about Rustroot needed) Like, some kind of ideal place?

nope.
W3 - Apolion, Terricieil (old & new), Westedge & Saltmummys other place.
W4 - Quahog
W5 - Yggdrasil (now gone) - New Yggdrasil.

you have to go in and then, unfortunately, you also get a % if the mine is actually in a nearby cave
