Why does the loom need to be repaired so often even though it's on stone ground?

Because Jorbtar want's your looms dead. Put it in a house, cave, or mine to prevent decay. Remember though, it only requires 1 String each repair, no matter how broken.

or you just use it a lot
use damages items slowly in most cases
