A rumor about mines

Postby Brandermau » Mon Jan 03, 2011 5:04 am

So I recently started playing Haven about a week ago and just now was hoping to get my hands on some ore. I know how to prospect and all that but a few friends of mine told me not to bother. Apparently all of the mines are owned by villages/cities and I have no hope of finding another. I was curious if anyone can vouch for this or not. Should I abandon hope of looking for a mine?

This is usually the case, however since there are new grids, you can go ahead and run out to the outermost grids and start prospceting. I suggest you do it fast before they're all taken up.

Absolutely false. I recently found an iron mine on an old SG. Also, my friend prospected for about 8 hours and found 15+ unclaimed mines in the NE new SG's

Prospesting sounds awesome.. if only I can actually find the dang rustroots. 1000 and two hours of wandering is not enough apparently... :(

I don't know what the numbers need to be, obviously you need more.

I can confirm to you two copper mines inside a cave, and one tin mine on a mountain. They are around the Northeastern corner of the world.

Also, do not try prospecting if you have less than 20 rustroots (I'd suggest 30+), you will be losing your time.
