New Seeds

I have become very frustrated with finding new seeds. I have recently moved to a SG on the outer edges of the map and I cannot get all the crops I need. Since I have started counting I have dried over 100 www's and I repeatedly get hops , grape, onion, flax, hemp and on rare occasions pumpkin and poppy. I have retrieved www's from a SG away in each direction and I still get the exact same seeds. Can anyone give me advice in finding all the species of plants?

Moral of the story...bring a seed of each species with you.

I'd say that last part kind of sums it up. I've been trying to find pepper for ages. Then I found an abandoned unclaimed farm with pepper

You're just unlucky. At the start of this world, my group couldn't find wheat for over 10 days, and then an immigrant brought a seed.

I guess so. I've given up for the time being and put a wrought iron bounty on carrot and pepper.

I'll remember to have fun with immigrants, I'll just have to make sure they don't stay too long and take all the jobs.

I had heard of this before, is it that each 100x100 area has a specific seed they provide or is it like some interval it changes what seed it has?

from what loftar said, it's determined by the "area", and each "area" is about 100x100. it didn't sound like it changed at any interval, and from my experience, it doesn't, except they surely change when they add new plants.

I was thinking that I was having trouble because of how the information is stored about each seed. But maybe that's thinking about it the wrong way though. I know that I have picked www's across an entire SG and still gotten the same result though
