where are all the gold and silver mines?

Postby overtyped » Sat Jan 08, 2011 1:29 pm

im up to 9 mines today, is it normal for 8 of them to be tin and copper? seriously? how rare is silver and gold because ive been searching forever and never any luck. I seem to have a useless amount of useless bronze that none wants. What are my chances on finding silver or gold mine?

Is anyone else having this problem ? too many useless mines not enough good ones.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

There aren't a lot of gold mines in this world (they are the rarest), but there are relatively a lot of silver mines. I think your best luck for finding silver is to prospect caves, especially in the outer grids. I would imagine that most of the surface mines that have precious metals have been found already.

not at all, im stuck with a useless amount of copper and tin mines and then i go and prospect another copper and tin mine on the surface, you cant really call those metals precious though since its f'ing everywhere. I cant walk for 5 min without tripping over copper and tin. Maybe im just unlucky though. At first i thought it was cool to have bronze but then i found out its the exact same as finding a low Q soil nod.

Create 9 villages with CR's
W3 - Apolion, Terricieil (old & new), Westedge & Saltmummys other place.
W4 - Quahog
W5 - Yggdrasil (now gone) - New Yggdrasil.

thats too much work. None wants any of that crap anyways, theres no point in even walling more than a few

meanwhile, you've given AD a chance to rob the mine and compete with you
